So long, farewell!

The Chocolate Spoon Café, also know as So What's New @ the Chocolate Spoon and SineFellas Cafe, is closing business effective 8/31/2010. 

After almost 7 years, Nancy Poferl and husband Jeff want to begin a real retirement of traveling, golfing and adventure.  "Our boys are grown and we have many things to check off our "bucket list" while we are still young and healthy enough," said Nancy Poferl.

The business is currently for sale, as well as the space it resides in.  For more information on purchasing the business or space contact Bob Engel at 612-331-8392.   Expect to see another great retail business come to wonderful White Bear Lake soon.

Nancy, Jeff and her friend/business partner, Gianna, have many fond customers, memories and experiences to cherish.  Nancy says, "The best part about owning and operating this business has been the people who have crossed our paths, supported us and become true friends."

"We have been an active part of the downtown community and surrounding area over the years.  I'm particularly proud of our charitable projects and events we've hosted and fund raised, my commitment to the continued development of the downtown area as a Main Street board member, and even a run at city council member in 2009.", said Nancy.   "We also enjoyed hosting art shows and musical events, and fostering many a local talent."

Join us Saturday, August 28^th for a final goodbye and ice cream social.  Enjoy a scoop of Bridgeman's Ice Cream for $1.00/scoop until gone. 

Place your scone orders as well. 

We will be selling "The Best in the World" frozen scone pucks by the dozen while supplies last for $30.00.

An finally,

Nancy is looking for part-time work and can do almost anything.  If you know of any opportunities in your company or other, please let her know.   Running this business has made her multi-dimensional in business, accounting, sales, marketing, customer service, restauranteering, training,  management, supervision, problem-solving, cash management, and the list goes on.   She claims to have a PhD from SOHK University.  The school of hard knocks.
